Travel Experience

A 6-day short journey to get rid of all daily life stress getting involved with all those nice smell of the spices and meat and a great chance to learn how these delicious well-known Persian famous dishes are made. You are going to learn about all spices, herbs, and important tips about Iranian gastronomy. You also have the chance to stroll through daily markets and to buy your own ingrediants like locals buy.

Day 1

Arrive in Tehran early in the morning. After having breakfast at a local restaurant or a hotel’s restaurant, we will start a half day city tour of Tehran to visit the main highlights of the city including Golestan palace, the archeological section of the national museum, and Abgine (Glassware and pottery) museum. Today, we are going to have lunch at a local restaurant with a historical background of more than 100 years, to have a delicious Iranian Kebab. After having some rest at the hotel, we will pay a visit to an Iranian local house, to spend some time with a local family and to have dinner with them to learn about the food traditions and how a guest is important to Iranian families based on their culture and traditions. 

Day 2

We start our morning food experience with meeting our food expert at Tajrish and start with a walking tour of Tajrish bazaar where our expert introduces our guests to exceptional ingredients and spices unique to this part of the world while we experience shopping for a few fresh ingredients like the locals. Then we’ll head over to the kitchen where the chef will show us her magic in creating the most delectable Persian dishes. We’ll be cooking a 5 course meal adjusted to the season and enriched with the freshest ingredients. Once the wafting aroma of the delicious meal dissipates the kitchen, we’ll set the table and gather for a huge Persian feast as we chat and exchange experiences. Afterwards, you would be transferred to the airport to take flight to Shiraz. Upon arrival, you would be transferred to hotel and will have the time at your own leisure to take some rest. 

Day 3

A morning city tour of Shiraz is arranged to show you the main highlights of the city including Nasirol molk mosque, Citadel of Karimkhan Zand and Vakil Bazaar. After having lunch we’ll pay a visit to the tomb of Hafiz, and then we continue the tour with a unique Shirazi picnic experience. On this Picnic, you’ll get to learn and cook your own picnic in a fully hands-on class taking place in a lovely private garden. Here’s where you’ll pick up the secrets of a Persian kitchen and learn to home-cook some of the tastiest Shirazi dishes to surprise your friends back home. Your experience will end with a huge family style feast followed by the most delightful cup of Persian tea.

Day 4

Early morning departure to Isfahan, with stop at Persepolis to visit the ceremonial palaces of Achaemenids and Naghsh-e Rostam to visit the tombs of the Persian emperors. We continue driving to Isfahan with another stop at Pasargadae to visit the tomb of Cyrus the great and will continue driving to Isfahan. Upon arrival to Isfahan, you would be transferred to hotel to take some rest and to get prepared for tomorrows tour.

Day 5

A half day city tour of Isfahan is arranged to visit the main highlights of the city including Naghsh-e Jahan square and its surrounding monuments including Shah mosque, Sheykh Lotfollah mosque, and Ali Qapou palace. Then we continue the tour with our Isfahan cooking class. our exceptional local chefs will teach you everything about the top Esfahan dishes and the secrets to getting them right. You’ll get a hands-on experience of cooking a whole feast of local food while you learn all the tips and tricks of the Persian kitchen. Our experienced chefs are here to share their top secrets that make cooking Esfahani food an easy and delightful experience. On this tour, you’ll be making a full menu including a starter, main dish, side dish, dessert and local drink. Once everything is fully prepared, we’ll all sit down for a feast and celebrate the love of food altogether. You will have the evening at your own leisure to enjoy the city or to take some rest at the hotel.

Day 6

Morning drive towards Tehran with a stop at Kashan to visit the main highlights of the city including Fin Garden, Sialk hill and the Boroujerdi’s house. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue driving to Tehran Imam Khomeini airport so you can take your flight back home with great experiences of Persian Cuisin
