Getting to know about the culture of a region, one of the best ways is to know their kitchen. During this 9-day tour in Iran, you’ll find a great opportunity to meet locals, spend some time with them and to learn about the culinary of different areas in Iran. From the normal Kebabs and stews, to the exciting sea food in the south.

Day 1

Arrive in Tehran early in the morning. After having breakfast at a local restaurant or a hotel’s restaurant, we will start a half day city tour of Tehran to visit the main highlights of the city including Golestan palace, the archeological section of the national museum, and Abgine (Glassware and pottery) museum. Today, we are going to have lunch at a local restaurant with a historical background of more than 100 years, to have a delicious Iranian Kebab. After having some rest at the hotel, we will pay a visit to an Iranian local house, to spend some time with a local family and to have dinner with them to learn about the food traditions and how a guest is important to Iranian families based on their culture and traditions. 

Day 2

We start our morning food experience with meeting our food expert at Tajrish and start with a walking tour of Tajrish bazaar where our expert introduces our guests to exceptional ingredients and spices unique to this part of the world while we experience shopping for a few fresh ingredients like the locals. Then we’ll head over to the kitchen where the chef will show us her magic in creating the most delectable Persian dishes. We’ll be cooking a 5 course meal adjusted to the season and enriched with the freshest ingredients.Once the wafting aroma of the delicious meal dissipates the kitchen, we’ll set the table and gather for a huge Persian feast as we chat and exchange experiences.

Day 3

Early in the morning, we start driving to Isfahan with a stop at Kashan to visit the main highlights of the city including Fin garden, Sialk hill and Boroujerdi’s house.After having lunch at a local restaurant, we continue driving to Isfahan and will visit two historical bridges of Sio-Se Pol and Pol-e Khajou as soon as arrived in Isfahan.

Day 4

A full day city tour of Isfahan is arranged to visit the main highlights of the city including Naghsh-e Jahan square and its surrounding monuments including Shah mosque, Sheykh Lotfollah mosque, and Ali Qapou palace. Then we continue the tour by our Esfahan cooking class, our exceptional local chefs will teach you everything about the top Esfahan dishes and the secrets to getting them right. You’ll get a hands-on experience of cooking a whole feast of local food while you learn all the tips and tricks of the Persian kitchen. Our experienced chefs are here to share their top secrets that make cooking Esfahani food an easy and delightful experience. On this tour, you’ll be making a full menu including a starter, main dish, side dish, dessert and local drink. Once everything is fully prepared, we’ll all sit down for a feast and celebrate the love of food altogether. You will have the evening at your own leisure to enjoy the city or to take some rest at the hotel.

Day 5

We depart from Isfahan to Shiraz early in the morning with a stop at Pasargadae to visit the tomb of Cyrus the great and the remains of the first Persian Capital. Continue driving to Shiraz, we’ll visit the ceremonial palaces of Achaemenids at Persepolis and the tombs of the Persian emperors at Naghsh-e Rostam. Upon arrival to Shiraz, we check in to hotel and take some rest after a long drive day.

Day 6

A morning city tour of Shiraz is arranged to show you the main highlights of the city including Nasirol molk mosque, Citadel of Karimkhan Zand and Vakil Bazaar. After having lunch we’ll pay a visit to the tomb of Hafiz, and then we continue the tour with a unique Shirazi picnic experience. On this Picnic, you’ll get to learn and cook your own picnic in a fully hands-on class taking place in a lovely private garden. Here’s where you’ll pick up the secrets of a Persian kitchen and learn to home-cook some of the tastiest Shirazi dishes to surprise your friends back home. Your experience will end with a huge family style feast followed by the most delightful cup of Persian tea.

Day 7

Today, we’ll take a morning flight to Bandar-e Abbas, a port city located by the Persian Gulf and from there, we take a boat to Qeshm island. There we’ll stay in a local fisherman house and will have a local dinner there after we learned how sea food is prepared in southern Iran next to Persian Gulf.

Day 8

A full day tour of Qeshm Island is arranged to visit the main highlights of the island including Mangrove forests of Harra, Stars valley and the Portuguese castle. Then you would be transferred to the fisherman’s house and will spend some time with them to understand their life style and to learn more about the southern kitchen of Iran.

Day 9

Today we take a morning flight back to Tehran and upon arrival, a city tour of Tehran starts to visit Sa’d Abad palace and Niavaran palace as two masterpieces of Iran’s modern history with their great landscapes and marvelous architecture. Afterwards you would be transferred to airport to take flight back home with an unforgettable memory of Iranian locals and their delicious moments.
